Romeo and Juliet- Piloting a Shakespeare Experience In-Person

O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?” The response to this poetic inquiry is LSU Shreveport, where a timeless story of fate, tragedy, and teen angst will unfold against the backdrop of Renaissance Verona. LSUS cordially invites students, staff, and the public to a production of Romeo and Juliet, performed by the Texas Shakespeare Festival as part of the TSF Roadshow on Thursday, November 2nd at 10:00 a.m..

Audiences can expect to be transported to a world of poetic beauty where a passionate love defies the age-old feud between the Montagues and the Capulets. This tragic romance explores the themes of love, fate, and the consequences of long-standing grudges.

For those with a taste for comedy and lighter fare, the TSF will follow their morning performance with a Shakespearean Acting Workshop at 12:15 p.m. and at 6:00 p.m. with a unique Greatest Hits of Shakespeare, performing scenes from As You Like It, Twelfth Night, Othello, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Taming of the Shrew.

There is no cost to attend either performance, and the events are open to the public.

All events will be held in the LSUS University Center Theatre.
