Lens on the Past, Local History in Photographs In-Person
Lens on the Past, Local History in Photographs Exhibit is a selection of Photographs from the founding of Shreveport in the 1830s to the end of the 20th century. The Archives has curated photographs that are not seen often by the public to bring attention to less well-known aspects of Shreveport and Northwest Louisiana’s history. The Photographs are exhibited by decade to show the long history of development in the area. In fact, did you know that the Archives has a photograph of the Industrial Leagues Softball Champions from 1945? A local “league of our own”. This exhibit will be in the assembly room on the 3rd floor of Noel Memorial Library until September 19th.
