Lavender Love: Three Influential LGBTQ+ Poets In-Person
The Lavender Love exhibit explores the lives and poetry of three poets from the 18th to 19th centuries whose sexuality has long been debated. Dive into Anna Seward’s poetry ripe with the ideals of female romantic friendship and dedicated to the women she had intense correspondence with. Or investigate the LGBTQ+ themes throughout Oscar Wilde’s poetry and understand how he became a symbol of queer identity.
