Right to Work: Labor Unions and the Laws Surrounding them in Northwest Louisiana In-Person

The exhibit, Right to Work: Labor Unions and the Laws Surrounding them in Northwest Louisiana, presented by Northwest Louisiana Archives and found in the exhibit cases on the third floor of Noel Memorial Library will feature original photographs and documents selected from the archives that show the history of Labor Unions from the first known Labor Union, Typographical Union Local 155, 1872 to modern “Right to Work” laws that govern modern Labor Unions. The exhibit will also feature import local figures such as Ernest Zwally, J. W. Geer, and Victor Bussie, local meeting places such as the Carpenter’s Hall and the Labor Temple, as well as strikes led by various local Labor Unions.
