Creating a Zine Workshop with Caddo Parish Poet Laureate In-Person

Want to learn how to create your own zine? Caddo Parish Poet Laureate, Crystalyn Whitaker-Nelson hosts a zine workshop on the 1st floor of Noel Memorial Library creating a relaxing and interactive atmosphere where you can learn the process of creating a zine, take home your own zine, and exchange zines with others!

Meet Caddo Parish Poet Laureate: Crystalyn Whitaker Nelson is a Shreveport native and LSUS graduate school alumna. She is serving her first year as Poet Laureate of Caddo Parish and has begun The Amazine Race initiative. She is traveling around the parish bringing creativity and poetry to everyone she meets and encouraging participants to share their creativity with neighbors and friends. Start your zine collection and keep up with where The Amazine Race is off to next!
